Women of Wai`anae Yard Sale a Success; Scholarship Applications Being Accepted Until June 16

WOW IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENTS. TO BE ELIGIBLE, APPLICANTS MUST:

1) LONG TIME RESIDENT OF THE WAIANAE COAST (5 YEARS OR MORE);
2) BE PURSUING AN UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE, OR OTHER VOCATIONAL OR CERTIFICATE PROGRAM;
3) WRITE A PERSONAL STATEMENT DESCRIBING YOUR ACADEMIC GOALS AND FINANCIAL NEED;
4) PROVIDE TWO LETTERS OF REFERENCE FROM NON-RELATIVES;
5) NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENT (DID NOT GO TO COLLEGE RIGHT AFTER HS GRADUATION).

APPLICATIONS MUST BE POSTMARKED BY June 16, 2010, AND ARE AVAILABLE AT WAIANAE LIBRARY, LEEWARD COMMUNITY COLLEGE-WAIANAE, OR BY CLICKING HERE.
