Every time when I walk by all the trash bins filled with green waste I feel so bad knowing that we are paying taxes to possibly even shipping valuable organic matter to the mainland.
But I totally understand that most residents don't have the time and patience to cut up branches to 3' long pieces and bundle them all nicely and to fill in clippings into bags for curbside collecting.
Why is it taking the city so unbelievably long to get the recycling program out to Waianae? Is it all just the slow mills of bureaucracy or is there some other better reason behind this delay?
