Dear Maile,
May is Bike Month, and to kick it off, we’re having a poster contest for children in grades kindergarten through high school. As a follow up to the Bicycle Safety Resolution that was supported by 30 out of 33 neighborhood boards, OMPO and the Honolulu City Council, the contest is “Make it Safe for Me” to ride my bike.
Attached HERE are the contest guidelines.
Highlights for Bike Month include Bike to School Day May 18 and Bike to Work Day May 21. See the calendar of events HERE.
Would you please share this information with your constituents? With your help, we’ll get more kids biking and walking.
